HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!

O' Christmas tree, O' Christmas tree!!!!
OH how I LOVE Christmas!  It's simply the most wonderful time of the year to me.  I just love to hear Christmas bells ringing, carols being sung; even by a choir, the smells of cinnamon, pine, and eggnog, I love the sweaters; even crazy grandma sweaters, giving gifts, baking cookies and pies and goodies galore, trimming the tree and decking the halls, making new snowflakes and the sight of fresh snow; well actually I love any kind of snow, and mostly family time together and especially around a cozy fire, indoors or out.
That's what I love about Christmas! Marshmallows-a-roasting, fresh hot cocoa for tasting and lights that are stung everywhere.
It's the MOST wonderful time of the year.

This is the season I look forward to the most.  It brings families together and causes great bonds.  I know we shouldn't let the winter holidays be the only time for great gatherings, but out of all the times to gather, this is the best time.  It warms the hearts and it sets me at ease.  It's a time to relax and play games with family and friends or have uGly Christmas sweater parties with eggnog and ornament exchanges.  It makes you want to sit closer, if even to a stranger, just to feel the warmth of the season.  Whether you are enjoying hot apple cider or peppermint cocoa theres always a good time to be had with family and friends.

If you are feeling down this season
then just grab a friend or book
and sit down near a fire or a candle in a nook.

Grab a great big blanket and a cup of something hot,
it might be nice hot cocoa
or spiced-cider from a crock.

Don't stress over money, don't stress over gifts,
the best ones are from hearts then made,
and that's how Christmas stays the same.

So spread the winter cheer around,
and share the winter love.
Please don't let life get you down,
the years with turn again.

On a roll....or bun!

SO--- last night...Start over Sunday.
Sunday, Stephen and I went to an Air Show in Peachtree City, GA.
It was the one day of the past two weeks it hasn't rained, and it was about 78 degrees, but it felt for like 90 degrees. So anyways, I was hungry as usual, so I decided to get a hot dog since I never really eat them unless the we are grilling or roasting them over an open fire.  Well, all I put on was ketchup and a little mustard, sat in the shade behind a trailer and eat it. Done. No...About an hour or so later I started having chest pains like someone had hit me or was sitting on my chest, kinda hurt to breathe.  So I told Stephen, he laughed and ignored it.  Well it went on for a few hours after that and just kinda went away.
Four Days Later.....
Thursday, Stephen and I grilled Turkey dogs and Turkey burgers. Lean and "healthy". :) Anyways.
So like an hour later I'm having chest pains again and this time it was MUCH worse.  I honestly couldn't get comfortable so matter what, i sat, i stood, i laid down. Nothing helped. So i had Stephen bring some Pepto Bismol and tums, thinking that might help. Well after half a bottle and 10 or so tums i had mild relief. So, next week, we are going to try it again and see if i get chest pains after eating a hot dog again.  I can't believe i'm going to eat so many in so little time! AHH! lol So, hopefully we can figure this out. I was in tears i was hurting so back. But i refuse to see a doctor- yes, that might be stubborn, but they aren't my favorites and I don't think i need to go. =]
Well, to make matters worse i had another sleep apnea attack last night as well at around 3a.m. or so. They scare me the most.  There's nothing worse than waking up out of a sound sleep trying to sit up and gasp for air at the same time.  I've only had about 10 or so in the past 2 years, since they just started, but i've had two in the last 2 weeks.  I'm trying to figure out if it can be hereditary or not, it doesn't really seem to be.  They scare the day lights out of me though and make it hard to go to sleep again out of fear it might happen again.  I know my father has sleep apnea, but he has it for obvious reasons.  My on the other had, i did not inherit his structure, i would say, which is one way they say it might be inherited.  I'm at a loss.  I don't know where they are coming from, but i hope to find a way to make them stop.  Sleep apnea can have severe side affects if not treated. :(  Ok- back to doing research on my chest pains and apnea.

FOOD, FOOD, FOOD!

Today has been a day of finding recipes for the holiday's!! I found so many recipes for everything from meals, to dessert(my fav), and even drinks!! I haven't tried any yet, but I will share some of the recipes with you once I do to let you know if they are worth it or not. Tonight we are going super fancy with dinner and having grilled turkey dogs! I reallly would love to use our fire pit to roast them, but it won't stop raining in this town! We've had rain the past 2 weeks it seems... but everyday this week so far except Tuesday. So, one day when the rain decides to stop we will get to finally use our fire pit!!! :)
I don't really have much other news. It's only been like 2 days since I last blogged and we haven't done much because it's been raining. OH! I do need to post pictures on here of our pumpkins and decor! I'll get on that and get those photos up soon! Until then.
Peace.Love.

Falling slowly...

I love fall and I'm SO glad it's here and that Christmas is right around the corner!!! The upcoming holidays are my all time favorites!!
So, lately Stephen and I haven't been very busy, but you wouldn't know that from the lack of not blogging in forever! Anyways, so since the last post we have strongly discussed moving back closer to my home and leaving the not so wonderful state of Georgia and that really perks me up!
We went and picked out our pumpkins the other day and now all i need is a few moms to go with the rest of my decor outside! Tonight we are carving out pumpkins that we picked out for that and I'll post those once we've done that, and our finished fall decor outside! :) Were doing a few different techniques this year with the pumpkins, using the drill, and different tools that can be found in the garage/shed! I'm thrilled! I might need more pumpkins to design!

OH! one thing we did in September was go to Destin with Stephens whole family for his Meme and Pops 60th wedding anniversary! We had a house on the beach and a party for them with a casino theme! We even played craps and blackjack. We brought in a casino rental group that set up the tables and directed the games.

After we returned we celebrated our one year anniversary! I can't believe it's already been a year!!! GOLLY! As some may know, there are certain items you are to get each other on certain anniversary's over the years and the 1st year is PAPER. So, he gave me a dozen BEAUTIFUL roses, a list of 50 things he loves about me and a sweet letter, and i gave him a "scrap book" full of all of the things we did our first year! (I say "scrap book" BC it's not the kind your thinking... its not glitzy, it's a photo or so slapped on a already bound book with some words written on it and memorabilia from events over the year.)
And then we went to eat our favorite food..MEXICAN! lol Later that night, Stephen and I went to go get tattoos of infinity symbols. Mines is on my foot in the shape of a cross and Stephens on his wrist in a cracked rock tribal way. I love them! I'll come back and post photos of those too now that they've healed. The reason for the "infinity symbols" is in reference to what infinity means and also, when we got married, my wedding gift to Stephen was a large canvas with the infinity symbol i had drawn on it and a letter written on the back on the wood frame.

SO- that's all i can think of that we've done lately. You know i'll be back!!! :)

Great Adventures!!

WOW!
It's been a while!!!
OK- Stephen and I haven't been up to much lately. Though we did hike Amicalola Falls the other week, about 10 or so miles!! It was crazy fun!

BEAUTIFUL! Took 175 stairs to get here... PLUS
Another 425 to get to the very top!!

We also took Kodi on his first short hike, previous to Amicalola Falls, which he did not go on.

Not much else is new. I'm on my way to meet my parents and brother in Nashville tomorrow to do some trading of winter and summer clothes.

New to the business

So i ordered some business cards the other day for my photograhpy business, Kayleigh Dawn Photography, which should be here any day.. I'm so excited! I just need to work on getting a business logo/copy right symbol. Not completey sure how to go about that. Anyways, i've done some shoots here and there.. I'm taking a friends Bridals this weekend which i'm REALLY thrilled about.. I've haven't taken any bridals yet so this should be a learning experience and fun! YAY! I'll let you know how that goes this weekend.

Another month- come and gone

This hasn't been a long month or anything, i just haven't had much to blog about. I did go home to PB about 3 weeks ago. That was a blast... I had fun with my family and was able to catch up with friends!! I can't even remember what we did... I got there on a wednesday night around midnight. The next day i slept in which was nice and i believe i ran some errands with mother. Then friday i went out on the river with one of favorite families, Mike, Logan and Dylan. We fished and i caught... NOTHING!!! But that's ok, i wasn't complaining. After getting fried from the sun i has to make it back to town to meet up with my MOH's little sister who is getting
married next May! I'm helping her plan it all out. It's a fun process, I loved planning mine.
This is similar to her color theme...plus teal =]

Later that night i met up with all my girls and guys at BWW i haven't seen in a while. It was so great to see everyone and take pictures.

Saturday was a fun family day at my aunts cabin on the river. We grilled and took the boat up river for a little while.

Then later on Saturday night it was purely girls night with LM and I but
...... her new bf, PW somehow got invited..not sure how that happened. LOL Anyways.
We went to Castello's and had dinner.. or at least i did. lol After that we went to the Wine Rack and decided to have another glass of wine. There was also a band playing and i can't for the life of me thing of their name.. lol it was like Microwave Dan and the Nooks? LOL something crazy like that.

That's all that's new for now... at least 3 weeks ago new.

Well two days later the computer i use at work went out. :( !!!! Well three weeks later- it's still out of service. Ahh! Well I am going home next wednesday and i'm doing a few shoots- my parents, my aunt and her sons and my cousin, and maybe my other cousin Josh and his NEW Fiance of one week, Lauren!! YAY! Can't wait! I was so honored they thought of me to do their engagement shoot!! Can't wait!

He wears Levi's..just thot you'd want to know.

So i went to this concert the other day with my hubs, you might have heard of the two performers there....Keith Urban and Taylor Swift... lol I thot so. Anyways, it was amazing!! Taylor was awesome, i absolutely love her. Keith...hmmm well i met him 3 or 4 years ago at a John Mayer concert in Memphis- crazy, his seats were super close to mine. Anyways, so TS was awesome, and Keith can put on a show, i've seen him once when he was OPENING for Kenny Chesney about 8 years ago!! lol He's come a long way i tell ya. Our seats weren't bad, they were on the floor, row Q seats 14 & 13 lol Which was about 20 rows back or so...it seems alot further tho. BUT during the 1st hr KU was performing he decides to take a little stroll down the side aisle and proceed around the back of the arena with women and girls crawling all over him-me too- to a small stage in back facing the back of the arena! "Who's got the good seats now!!?" he says. So i'm like right next to the stage it was amazing, he did two or three songs which i graciously recorded and placed on facebook. Anyways, he sang, went back up from and about an hour later goes to the left side of the arena about 6 or 7 rows up in the middle and does a song there too! Wow! It was a wonderful concert...absolutely wonderful...

A far away place is calling my name!

Ok-
So I have a realllly bad itch to get out of the country or at least Georgia- i'm going bonkers here. I feel like i'm trapped in a terrible places and i can't escape...wait, I am!
So Ste's(he hates Ste, lol he prefers SE) offers in TX (by way of Houston or Dallas) is looking more so like an possibility now. =(
BUT change is good, as long as were not stuck in Ga for the rest of our lives. hm.
SO besides that Se and I are enjoying our wonderful little biter named Kodi. He now shakes and sits for the past 2 weeks, hes doing do great. I can't wait to teach him more tricks. I've got more recent photos to upload soon of him shaking, sitting and his peculiar was of getting on the couch..
Besides that I'm desperately looking for a new job where i can use my creative mind! Sitting all day and doing nothing is getting old and i'm not going anywhere..... So i'm thinking about going back to school to become a teacher in elementary...maybe HS- not so sure about that now. lol I have a 4 yr degree but not for teaching...we will see how that goes...

Our dishwasher broke...

OK-
So Friday night, obviously Stephen worked, and then Saturday morning he got up at 5 to leave by 6 to play golf.  Then he had work later that day at 5-2, the usual didn't get home til 2:30-3am.  So Sunday was a sleep in day since he didn't have much sleep.  But he didn't have to go play golf, so no complaining! :) Around 5 Saturday i headed to Steve's (FIL) 40th reunion, ahha long time, anyways that was a mistake...my legs got destroyed by mosquito's and other various bugs while i aimlessly walked about snapping candids for him.  Never again... the whelps on my legs are turning into hard knots. Ouch! lol Sunday was supposed to be a rest day for Stephen and I and to get  things done that we needed to get done..as we were about to get ready to take Kodi to the park to play his work calls him in cause some woman had her kid..blah!  So he had to go work at 2!  I wasn't happy, especially with the manager who called him in.  HM! So i decided to go run all my errands by myself, couldn't even take Kodi :( totally boring.  I first had to run to KIA where we got my car bc they still haven't sent us the correct registration info yet after 2 months!  So i had to go try and correct that-and figure out why my ipod doesn't work correctly in there- bc you have to order the "special cord"! Duh- how else would they make money!
I then had to run to BB&B to see if they had the bags for my vacuum that Cheryl(MIL) got for our apt, but she thinks she probably got it at Linen n' Things...welllll they aren't in business anymore- and no one else sells Bosch vacuums.
Next I had to run to Babies'r'us and buy Stephens cousin a baby gift, she had baby Noah Friday- a little early but only by 2 weeks.  He's doing fine and should return home around today..  I'm so excited to see him and take photos of him!
I then had to go clean my Soul- my KIA Soul.. it was so dirty inside and out!  Just terrible.  Now she looks 110% again..  After that was clean i had to go buy summer food...raspberry sherbet, chocolate chips cookie dough ice cream, Klondike bars,  icee pops, you know, the works! lol
Monday morning rolls around for another work day again, and i didn't even get to spend time with the hubbs all weekend?!  Monday was boring, as usual..its Monday!  Stephen did try and teach Kodi Bear how to shake- he gets it every once in a while so were still working on that, but "sit" is a pretty quick command now, he listens to that.  If only we could get him to stop biting as fast as he sits! Yikes!  He gets in trouble a lot for biting..we working on that too. Any suggestions on how to help?! He has plenty of toys...But when Stephen got home from work around 6 or 7 we grilled hamburgers and baked beans and then watched the last half of a bunch of stupid movies on TV.. lol Thrilling! Then off to bed...

"Your Smiling" -Thanks Stan

OK- so yesterday was totally boring... The smell from the sulfuric acid finally went away.  That's a plus.  I did buy a book tho.  I bought The Shack by Wm. Paul Young... never heard of it.. but it might "...blow the door wide open to my soul..," according to Wynonna Judd said. haah Anyways, i haven't started yet.. I'll let you know how it goes when i do.
So, i got back to running and training for my half marathon here in ATL! I'm excited!! It's October 4th! YAY!
After running i ran to the store, played with the kid a.k.a. Kodi Bear, which g-pa steve babysat..lol HEY! he volunteered! Then did some laundry- found a scorpion on my clothes and then got ready for bed after rotting my mind with a 30 mins showing of The Real Housewives of NY or Jersey.. not really sure, i never watched it, but i couldn't get over how stupid they are.  LOL Anyway, which brings me to my next point...Kodi. lol He's in this biting stage, nothing harmful, it's all in play but it's getting annoying.  I'm thinking muzzle or adoption. KIDDING! He's wonderful as long as he's not biting the crap out of your feet, pants, shoes, arms, hands... you get the point.  So were dealing with that, and i hear it's quite a process.   So once that's over with were "gravy"(thanks ZAQ)
Speaking of, i'm chatting up with two of my most favorite guys in the world!
Kevo just made up a new phrase for an accidental "lool" it now means laughing outside out loud...a loud laugh.  Kevo and I and Julia, his sister, we used to ride horses all the together.  I totally miss it.  His family is one of many I have and miss back home.  His sister and I and Kevo had a pretty rough crowd we run with back home.  It's about time for a reunion.  We along with about 10 others would go on weekly rides through the woods, mud, water..you name it, we've trekked it.
Kevo just led me to this website on you tube.. hilarious. Just check it out.

ZAQ my dear buddy is in TX, he's a house flipper.  We hope he "banks!"  I now know what that means. Thank you.  Also, he and my brother are planning a trip to Zimbabwe and Europe in 3 months or so.  I'm totally stoked for them.  Zack is in the mix of bringing up two websites on poverty which are www.millionproject.org and www.thegigabite.com . They aren't up at the time, but will be shortly.  I'll let you know later on when they are up and running. Have a great rest of the day! :)

Oh, What a night! - I'm runnnig on fumes!

Wow! What a crazy long night!  It started out great- SE(Stephen) and I went out to eat in honor of our 8 months of being married.  We had La Parilla(sp) because Mexican is our favorite!  So we shared a drink and then went to buy Kodi some more dog toys to dull his razors in his mouth!  Not that he needs anymore toys, it's crazy.  Anyways, after dinner and dog shopping we headed home and popped in a movie- Vantage Point, which was awesome.  After the movie it was about midnight when we got in bed.  Sound asleep, i wake up at 4:30..A.M.!  I wake up to an awful smell and i couldn't for the life of me figure out where it was coming from.  So i searched our cracker box and even did some dishes thinking it might be then, and it wasn't.  We took out the trash, we checked if Kodi did anything, and couldn't figure it out.  Well, if you know where we live, we live on the top of a detached garage that is on his parents property.  So i stepped outside to take a breather and the smell was outside to, after ruling out the septic we opened the garage and discovered the smell.  A battery that his father...my F.I.L (father in law) had been charging a battery, but it over heated i suppose and started to leak sulfuric acid...  If you've never smelled sulfuric acid, if smells similar to a chicken coop FULL of rotten eggs.  Just terribly overwhelming.  Thank goodness we have wonderful in-law/family.. His dad came over to our garage(about 100 yards) to fix it.  We finally got back in bed around 5:24am and i had to be up at 7am for work.   I'm running on fumes.

Just the two of us....well now it's three.

It started out just the two of us.  But Stephen (Ste) works late hours most of the time, and i'm off work and home by 6pm.  So I was getting lonely the past 8 months (it's 8 months today! YAY!) Anyways, so we started talking about getting a puppy for me, since I can't bring my dog from back home down here yet, bc we don't have a yard big enough for her.  So, we opted for a smaller dog.  Ste told me to do some research on them and the type of dog that would be best for us.  So, i looked and looked and came across a mixed breed website, and it was alllll poodle mixes.  After weeding out bulloodle (bulldog/poodle), beadles (beagle/poodle) and whoodles (wheaten/poodle), I landed upon the SCHNOODLE!  So, once i found the hybrid dog breed i wanted i then had to find a breeder! Oh dear- that's hard work on mix breeds!  Anyways, i found a bunch, but settled on one that was close to my parents back in Missouri.  So once i found them, they had told me they MIGHT be expecting, but i'd have to wait 2 weeks to find out if she was pregnant, and once I did I was thrilled!  Once we knew that, she was due in 6o days, making her due around my birthday, but they were born on March 20th.  Then we had to wait until he was 7-8 weeks old!  Finally after months of waiting we brought home the newest addition to our family!  Kodiak Evans...aka Kodi  We named him Kodiak because he looks like a little bear cub! He is precious...totally changed our lives..lol better than a kid! AH!

Starting to blog

HI!
I've never blogged, unless you count twittering for about a month and stopping blogging.  Anyways, I'm going to try this out for a while.  It doesn't seen too bad.  My job keeps me online all day anyways, so what the heck!  Not that I want to be online all day, but I am.
